The REST interface is not intended to be used for this purpose.  Please see
prior threads on this.

The CAS UI is not intended to be used in a way that allows you to circumvent
it.  If you don't wish to use the CAS UI, you may be better using a method
such as LDAP to authenticate your users.

One of the MAIN benefits of CAS is that your applications NEVER see the
password (ignoring the ClearPass function of course ;-)).
