That's a sign of problems. You should see log entries like the following: 2011-03-25 00:15:15,593 INFO [org.jasig.cas.ticket.registry.support.DefaultTicke tRegistryCleaner] - Beginning ticket cleanup. 2011-03-25 00:15:15,701 INFO [org.jasig.cas.ticket.registry.support.DefaultTicke tRegistryCleaner] - 0 tickets found to be removed. 2011-03-25 00:15:15,705 INFO [org.jasig.cas.ticket.registry.support.DefaultTicke tRegistryCleaner] - Finished ticket cleanup. Please doublecheck your log config and make sure that you'd expect to see these entries. If you don't, then the cleaner isn't running and that would explain the huge number of TGTs in your DB.
