I was going for something a little in between, but I could have been clearer. I do appreciate Marvin's point regarding needing sufficient time between RC and GA. Trouble is some of the open items just won't have resources available until late April early May. We could of course drop them from scope, but I'd really hate to do that given the work that has already been done on them.
This is what I had in mind: 3.5 RC1 - May 18th 3 weeks of testing RC 3.5 GA - June 8th (Friday heading into Jasig/Saka Atlanta) How about this as a compromise: 3.5 RC1 - May 11th (hard deadline, scope will be dropped, etc) 4 weeks of testing RC 3.5 GA - June 8th (Friday heading into Jasig/Saka Atlanta) Of course if we complete the open items ahead of time we can cut the RC sooner! :) This also assumes we have a committed and available release engineer...Scott is that you?
