Team,
LPPE in pull request 70 is feature-complete and has been tested with
sufficient rigor and velocity to accommodate the change-set it originally
proposed. Unicon has partnered with a number of clients such as Lamar and
Onondaga who have this code running in production. We also have a number
of other higher education clients looking to deploy this feature, but are
waiting for it to land in Jasig CAS distribution.

Of course, it is not perfect and there’s always room for additional
refactoring and re-design. I’d like to propose, in light of the immediate
deadline for RC1, that the community considers merging LPPE into the core
and I’ll be more than happy to resume work to apply the recommended fixes
and suggestions. Otherwise, I suppose we may have to push LPPE off the
release.

Folks,

Misagh has a clean pull request for LPPE.
https://github.com/Jasig/cas/pull/70

LPPE is off by default and takes a few steps to enable, not the least of
which is having ldap-support in your maven overlay. I intend to merge
this to master by the end of day today in time for RC1.

Best,
Bill
