It?s left off. The list is not intended to be comprehensive, but I added a
reference to the Dao.

In looking at the docs:
http://jasig.github.io/cas/current/integration/Attribute-Release.html I
see SingleRowJdbcPersonAttributeDao but I do not see
MultiRowJdbcPersonAttributeDao is that no longer supported or was it
accidentally left off ?

I am trying to use SAML... it looks like SAML support was provided "out of
the box" with 3.x

How do you enable SAML support in 4.0 ? I noticed there is no
"/samlValidate" in 4.0 web.xml ?

Thanks for the accurate feedback.

When you are talking about an "old cas version", which version are you
refering to?

Are you talking about "TARGET" used for the SAML support?

I'm not sure that the protocol specification defines anything except the
"service" parameter:
https://github.com/Jasig/cas/blob/master/cas-server-protocol/3.0/cas_proto
col_3_0.md.

Same issue on my side ,when redirected from java-cas-client to cas server
in url parameter appeared as target=xxxxxxxx and after

entering user credentials I never redirected from cas-server to client ,

When I am using old cas version when I redirected from cas-client to
cas-server url parameter appeared as service=xxxxxxx and after

entering user credentials I redirected to url which is in service
parameter ,but this not happening with new version.

I took 4.0.0-RC4 out for a spin by setting up restlet and
primaryAuthenticationHandler of
org.jasig.cas.adaptors.jdbc.QueryDatabaseAuthenticationHandler. Initial
test showed that restlet was working, but the "user" web side was not. My
java webapp redirected to the cas server, I entered good credentials, it
told me I logged in successfully, but it never redirected me back to the
original java webapp. I am not sure if this is a bug or simply a
misconfigured cas. I will have to investigate when I have some more time.

Hi,

Indeed, there is no upgrade guide for 4.0 I'm aware of. Nor on the Github
wiki: http://jasig.github.io/cas/current/index.html.

If you are starting to update your CAS server, feel free to update the
wiki page with all your feedbacks...

Thanks.

CAS Community,

CAS 4.0.0 release candidate #4 is available for evaluation. Artifacts
should shortly become available in Maven Central [1]. We encourage
adopters to grab this release, integrate into your environment, and
provide feedback.

Notable improvements in this release are:

[CAS-1380] - Module "cas-server-webapp-support" pulls in stale Spring
dependencies that crash CAS

[CAS-1410] - Failure to create pgtIOU/PGT should not result in successful
validation

[CAS-1412] - TerminateWebSessionListener terminates web session at end of
subflow

[CAS-1411] - Protocol updates on security strength of validation requests

[CAS-1284] - Validate and adopt CAS3 protocol rev

[CAS-1390] - Update ldaptive version to 1.0.3

[CAS-1417] - Complete Github Pages documentation

[CAS-1418] - Generalize Password Expiration Support

[CAS-1428] - Update language properties for 4.0

Regards,

Misagh
