I’ve also tried using the default location /etc/cas/config for cas.properties & application.properties as described here: https://apereo.github.io/cas/5.0.x/installation/Configuration-Management.html ...alas these do not seem to be working either. I’ve resorted to shoving config files into the webapp itself after deployment & reloading the application... yikes! :-(
