I am using gradle because Unicon told me it is the preferred build tool. Our management wants me to use what Unicon suggests because we pay for their support. However I realize they support both. In actuality I want to know how to build with either in case one is problematic. IMHO, unless you're going to be building CAS from source, the Maven overlay is easier to work with if you're not familiar with either tool.
