The instructions at http://www.ja-sig.org/wiki/display/CASC/Configuring+Single+Sign+Out are quite simple, unfortunately they don't seem to work. After signing out at the CAS url (cas/logout) I go back to a secured URL and the app still thinks I am logged in.
