Pepperdine University has recently adopted CAS for SSO purposes. We are using version 3.3 in production. We need to do some custom integration work with CAS and are looking to hire an experienced CAS developer as a freelancer to help us accomplish the following:
1) Modify our authentication routine so that upon a valid login the code will sync an encrypted version of the password with Gmail. We are currently working to move our students to Gmail and have determined that CAS is the best way to synchronize passwords (we use AD as our identity management infrastructure). 2) Write a CAS extension to replace our self-password reset functionality that is currently provided through another system. We essentially want to replicate that functionality into CAS. The job will be on a time and materials basis; with Pepperdine providing the base design. The developer would then: a) check our design and make recommendations b) perform the actual coding to implement the design We would expect to use this individual, again on a time and materials basis, in the future for support and maintenance where necessary. We are looking for someone who has. a) a minimum of two years experience designing and programming with CAS version 3.0 in a University setting, preferably a research intensive / extensive institution using Active Directory as the base identity management system. b) someone who will be able to work up to ten hours a week on our project over the summer to complete these tasks (including testing and movement to production) over the summer (i.e. must be finished by August 1, 2009). Interested individuals should send a resume and a brief email that outlines their relevant experience to [email protected]. We expect to review applications beginning May 10, 2009 and will contract with the individual shortly thereafter. We also would entertain proposals from a central computing organization at a University to provide this service to us. We expect to pay competitive, market rates for this work. Please let me know if you have any questions.
