Java CAS Client 3.1.3.

An attempt to reuse a service ticket (by the same browser, in the same
session) results in an error (obviously, since the ticket is now invalid).
But since the session is already established, shouldn't the CAS client
ignore the ticket?

I see phpCAS ignores it nowadays.

The back button gives users those 500 errors, and they think something is
broken, and complain, to me.

Is it configurable?
