I'm receiving a PGT IOU now. This issue was a cert problem between CAS and
Portal server that I resolved. For now I think I'm good.

Subject: [cas-user] CAS and JBoss Portal

Hello,
I've configured JBoss Portal to use CAS for authentication using just a service
ticket. This is working, as the JBoss Portal/CAS documents cover this pretty
well.

However, this is just a part of an overall SSO solution where portlets running
inside portal need to access other services without having to log in again.

I am still new to the CAS architecture but I believe the portal needs a PGT or
TGT(what is this?) so that other services called through portlets can
authenticate through CAS. In what I've read this also involves adding a
ProxyTicketReceptor servlet and a CASFilter filter, but the documentation on
how to do this with Portal is weak.

Having dutifully added a filter and a servlet to portal and hoping that I'm
heading down the right track I'm having trouble getting a PGT in any response
from serviceValidate.

So long story, couple short questions:

1. Does anyone have any references or advice on how to configure JBoss Portal
to get a PGT or TGT?
2. How would the JBoss Portal set the optional parameter pgtURL in order to get
a PGT?

Please forgive the muddiness of the question as I'm still learning what exactly
to ask for. Thanks.
