It would be nice if there was a comprehensive, well organized document designed
to teach people how to use and develop for CAS. But being an open source
project, I suspect such a document could only be created if some firm or
institution volunteered a significant amount of time from a professional
technical writer.

In the meantime, it is up to us the users to contribute bits and pieces to the
Wiki every time we figure out how to accomplish a task.

Subject: Re: [cas-user] Can I get a copy of your internal 'how-to' document?

Thanks, Derek.

Nothing specific... maybe another way to ask this is: is there a policy sheet
people hand out to potential client developers at their (particularly .edu)
institutions. Does such a sheet include code examples more than just pointing
to the JA-SIG site? I'd love to see the framework for such a document.

Kim,

It really depends on the application and what CAS client you're using. Do you
have any more specifics on what application you're trying to integrate? If it
is custom, what particular language you're developing in?

All,

We'd like to upgrade our internal 'how-to integrate your application with CAS'
document. We're currently pointing people to the CAS website, but we'd like to
have a concise doc. Would any of you have put together a doc for your
implementers and be willing to forward a copy of it to me that we could use as
a template?
