I'm unclear about the role of CAS in this scenario. Are you trying to hide the CAS login form from users? You will likely have to modify the login-webflow.xml in any case to support BasicAuth at the CAS server side. Sounds like you've already done the necessary container or Web server configuration to perform basic auth in the first place. I'm still not entirely sure where the credentials are being requested, at your Django app or at the CAS server.
