In which case, I am totally lost. Because I haven't changed the default TimeoutExpirationPolicy settings (2 hours) at all. The only thing I have changed is the session-timeout value in web.xml (from 5 minutes to 4 hours). Now I have changed that back to 10 minutes. It doesn't explain the sudden outburst of OutOfMemoryErrors in the logs nor does it explain why the TicketRegistryCleaner is running so often.
