The Jasig CAS client for Java supports the REMOTE_USER header.  Well, 
not exactly.  A JSP application would normally call getRemoteUser method 
of HttpServletRequest.  The Jasig CAS Client for Java provides a wrapper 
filter to implement that method.  Full documentation is here:
