That is not the solution discussed on the CAS wiki page I referenced. The solution is to import the certificate of the CAS server, or the issuing certificate, into your application's trust store. If done properly that _will_ resolve your problem. If you continue to have trouble, please perform an SSL trace as described on the bottom of that page and attach it to a subsequent post and we can get specific about what certificate you need to import into your truststore.
