The service management feature simply provides whitelist access for which services are allowed to request service tickets. By default CAS is wide open -- anyone may request a service ticket. > One thing I do not understand: does the server answer to the service > with valid tickets ? When a service shows up to CAS with a valid TGT, it will be granted a service ticket that is valid at that moment. (Of course service authorization via service management is considered in that process.) It is possible, though, for the service ticket to expire prior to validation.
