Interested in further replies; thanks for your reply Johan. We are about in the same position on a Mac Xserve. 8 core Xeon, 8Gb Ram, 1Gb dedicated to the production CAS process and nothing else, other than the test-preprod instance running on another processor, running on the box.
Our standby server is a VM running on another machine; has the same resources dedicated to it. When we've run it, there are no load issues.
