I can confirm that we have successfully configured CAS to work with AD 2008 running on Windows server ( or you can call it Windows 7)
We have two AD servers and one Novell server that make up our user directories. CAS is working perfectly for us. We are on CAS 3.3.5 not 3.4. One difference between our setup and yours is that we are not using a keytab file.
