I need you to follow the instructions in https://wiki.jasig.org/display/CASUM/Logging to put the org.jasig.cas package in DEBUG and see if the cas.log file contains helpful errors. Also check the file that catches STDOUT in your container, e.g. $TOMCAT_HOME/logs/catalina.out. Some file should be getting a stack trace that should indicate the problem. Just paste the relevant lines from the logs inline with your next post. I don't need to see your ldap configs.
