The short answer is that we're working on it as quickly as possible. We should have a Technology Preview out soon of CAS4, which should include the CAS2 protocol and the SAML 1.1 protocol. After that, I believe (though don't quote me on this), that Marvin's going to start the requirements gathering for the updated Services Management Tool and I'm going to start seeing how to get SAML2 working (we've got some basic support in there but I wouldn't trust it yet).
An actual timeline is more difficult since I work on this stuff at night.
