I am sorry if this is a stupid question but, what does this really do? Is this a hard time out of the CAS session (i.e. - no matter the users activity, the set time the user will be forced to log in again) or is this an inactivity time out?
I ask because some users of one application are claiming that they never need to re-login during the day even though the policy is set to the default 2 hours. I had believed this was hard time out value. The application in question uses ajax, so even if the user didn't touch the application during the day it would still have activity.
