I'm a rookie to CAS and am looking forward to getting involved with these forums and learning a lot about CAS! From what I've read and seen it looks like this will work great for my needs! I have a set up I haven't encountered much documentation about that I need some direction from someone who might be familiar with what I am trying to do. In short, I have two virtual machines. Both having Windows server 2008 on them.
Server 1: This server has an instal of tomcat 5.5 and CAS 3.4.6 Server 2: This server has the active directory I'd like to validate against. I've got the out of the box 3.4.6 deployed on tomcat and am able to go to the login and use the password/password combo to authenticate; However, when changing the config file with the suggested changes to allow for ldap/ad connection and using an admin account and password that i've created in the active directory on server 2 in the fastbind portion and the domain information for server 2..... It is not working. Can anyone lend me a hand in getting this configured properly? The two servers can see each other. For right now I am simply trying to get the CAS installation on server 1 to authenticate based on the AD on server 2.
