I thought I was the only one :) I was/am in a situation almost identical to what Andrew described, I am not a developer, I'm a sysadmin. It was quite an educational experience to get CAS up & running on multiple servers with LDAP & MySQL. Learning Maven, and, editing the pom.xml file was a pain, especially getting the correct versions for the pieces, but, once I got that down, building the warfile was a piece of cake, and, updates seem to be fairly easy to do. The most frustrating part was looking through the wiki to find what I needed, only to find updated information here, in cas-users (which is a great resource). Don't get me wrong, I fully appreciate all the effort everyone has put into this project, and, keeping the wiki up to date has to be a major PITA (I know it is for me & all of our documentation). Still, I wouldn't trade the experience I went through for anything, I think I know more about CAS than most other applications I've installed, and, I certainly know that I don't know enough about it. Since it is a critical piece, one that everyone on campus will probably use at least once a day, I'm glad I was forced to learn so much about it. -chris -- You are currently subscribed to [email protected] as: [email protected] To unsubscribe, change settings or access archives, see http://www.ja-sig.org/wiki/display/JSG/cas-user
