I gave you a link that you could use as the basis of a working link
that will get you a service ticket that you'll see in both the address
bar and the logs.  Best I can do for pointing in right direction.
Also, I explained that the likely reason you don't see logs is that
you're just showing up to the login page without a service parameter
in the URL.  You'll get that naturally when you start CAS-enabling
some services when they redirect to CAS for login.
