Looks like an Apache reverse proxy issue, not a CAS issue per se. I can't provide any help with reverse proxy implementations since I don't use them. In fact I've been challenging folks to consider why they're throwing Apache into the mix for a Java webapp like CAS. If you've got CAS and another application/site protected by mod_auth_cas running on the same host, then perhaps you have a valid use case.
