Hi Jonathan,
please enable the phpCAS debug log. [1] This might give you an insight
into what is happening on a phpcas level.
If you are still stuck please share the full debug of one single
access/login attempt along with a webserver access and error log.
Replace any sensitive dns names or ips with some placeholder. This might
give us a fighting chance to solve your problem.

I thought proxyValidate was supposed t respond with XML?
