Thanks ... will use basic LDAP/AD authentication for now and look for the
release.

One additional question. With CAS doing auth for JIRA ... are users who
autheticate automatically created in JIRA or can you create 'local' users in
CAS and just let CAS handle auth? I ask because CAS will authenticate a greater
number of people than we will have in JIRA?

Cheers,
Jason

Subject: Re: [cas-user] Jira 5 w/CAS .. anyone?

The documentation should mostly be correct still. We had a recent pull request
to update the client to support Atlassian's new handlers. That has been
committed but not yet pushed out in a release.

Running CAS 3_4_11 and am looking to use it in conjunction with JIRA 5. A lot

support CAS.

This seems to be the best directions I can find ... but is ~ 2.5 years ago:
https://wiki.jasig.org/display/CASC/Configuring+Jira+with+JASIG+CAS+Client+for+Java+3.1

I'm going to give it a try, but curious if anyone running that combination (or
close to it) and if this is the configuration you use?

Thanks
