Steve, thanks for sharing your timely thoughts on this issue with the CAS community. I encourage everyone to consider Steve's post and the linked documents and become informed on the merger. While the merger should not affect CAS development activities or project governance directly, it could affect us indirectly in ways that are worth considering. For my own part I'm optimistic about the potential for cross-project pollination and collaboration that could benefit our community specifically and Higher ED open source generally.
