So I approach them with a fair bit of caution. In this case by the time I had gathered enough information to make a cogent post, we had triaged the problem. Moreover, this is the third serious problem with Tomcat connectors we've had in the past year. Here's the post I made for one of them:

The combination of apparent software defects and poor community support have pushed us to consider a new servlet container. Jetty is at the top of the list.
