I use a Soap Webservice Authentication Handler for this. The WebserviceAuthenticationHandler extends AbstractUsernamePasswordAuthenticationHandler.
Webservice Client is a Spring-WS client injected into the WebserviceAuthenticationHandler using servers wsdl as Jaxb objects (created by Maven XJC plugin).
