The Login Ticket (LT) has a default timeout of 5 minutes. If you load the
login page, wait more than 5 minutes, and then submit your credentials,
you will see the page just reload because the LT has expired.
There may be other ways to trigger the behavior you see.
I wonder if CAS should display an error message to the user when an
expired LT is used? That might be less confusing that the current
behavior.
