Hi Alberto,
I am familiar with maven. Just I wasn't sure if I need to recompile cas in
order to create custom authentication handler of my own. I am building cas.war
with maven. But I don't havnt download the source code. I run maven install and
copy the CAS.WAR into my tomcat deployment. That's how I should treat it right?

Thanks.

Not at all. Especially for testing purposes, if you are not (yet) familiar with
Maven you can even start form scratch, make a .jar packaging with your classes,
add it to WEB-INF/lib on your current testing installation, and use it after
restarting the webapp.

Not the best practice, but it works.
