Doh. I was thinking about support in a strategic top-down manner when I wrote that, but I realized it's simply untrue as written. As I said initially the Shib dev team has been very supportive of this work and I hope to continue working with them to complete the features I mentioned. Additionally, I have received support from Virginia Tech to the extent that I did the work on the Commonwealth's nickel with full support from my immediate supervisor. While no one asked me to do it, I clearly benefitted from support for the endeavor. Sorry for speaking without thinking; I will now remove my foot from my mouth. Carry on.
