This document: https://wiki.jasig.org/display/CASUM/Throttling+Login+Attempts says that if you put a web-server in front of your CAS server, the web server will log a 403 when the user has exceeded the threshold. This suggests to me that CAS will generate a 403 error. How does it render that error? Is it user-friendly, or does it just rely on the underlying java application server to render the error?
