Not with the version string, but the validate URL is different for the
different versions/styles:
/validate - CAS v1 (simple yes/no with username)
/serviceValidate - CAS v2 (light-weight XML)
/samlValidate - CAS v2 (XML with attributes)
/p3/serviceValidate - CAS v3
