David, We are using Splunk to monitor CAS. We just use the universal forwarder to ship the CAS log and the web log. I have a number of dashboards set up I use with some regularity.
The searches would probably be a bit more efficient if each log entry gave the whole picture, but I find as long as I limit the searches to a reasonable time frame, performance is pretty good.
