I think Christian is talking about the Login Ticket timeout, which 
defaults to 5 minutes if I remember correctly.

Christian, I think you can change the session timeout by modifying 
web.xml:

   <session-config>
     <!-- Default to 5 minute session timeouts -->
     <session-timeout>5</session-timeout>
   </session-config>
