I suspect the jar is there because it's realty gone extinct and we needed
to find a way to pull it down until we get around to upgrading the jcifs
library (for which there is an open issue actually)

This should not cause a problem for you though in your overlays, or is
that not the case?

org.samba.jcifs:jcifs-ext:jar:0.9.4, you can find a jar, but no pom :
