Doug,

Is the implementation load balanced or clustered?
The fact that every other request is failing seems to be an interesting point...

I would also verify that the client is making requests over HTTPS/SSL.

Thanks,

Subject: [cas-user] CAS client throwing java.io.EOFException: Response
contained no data

Hi ,

I am wondering if anyone has experienced a 3.5 cas client throwing an exception
like this?

java.lang.RuntimeException: java.io.EOFException: Response contained no data
            at
org.jasig.cas.client.validation.Saml11TicketValidator.retrieveResponseFromServer(Saml11TicketValidator.java:275)
            at
org.jasig.cas.client.validation.AbstractUrlBasedTicketValidator.validate(AbstractUrlBasedTicketValidator.java:200)
            at
org.jasig.cas.client.validation.AbstractTicketValidationFilter.doFilter(AbstractTicketValidationFilter.java:206)
            at
com.ellucian.sso.client.web.filter.SSOValidationFilter.doFilter(Unknown Source)
            at
weblogic.servlet.internal.FilterChainImpl.doFilter(FilterChainImpl.java:57)

The problem is not consistent in that it is not every response. Some requests
are successful, but approximately every other one fails.

thx in advance for any thoughts on the matter.
