Unfortunately my network admin says our ldap logs aren't turned on. I'm trying 
to encourage him to though. These are the only logs I have. I'm not sure how to 
turn on org.ldaptive package logs but I will work on it.

These aren't the debug logs for the org.ldaptive package. Check your logging 
configuration and make sure you're looking at the correct log file.
