I appreciate your response.
I was talking about the temp area defined in mod-auth-cas.

And, I was mistaken, it works as 700 I was not clearing my cache, duh.
My browser was confused when I was testing.

I am ok now thanks.

Seems to work fine for us with a locked down directory:

# ls -ld /var/cache/apache2/mod_auth_cas
drwx------ 2 apache apache 4096 Sep 23 17:28 /var/cache/apache2/mod_auth_cas

What version are you running? There hasn't been a release for a while, we're 
running git head at the moment.
