Hello, I'm evaluating Confluence and need CAS authentication. I've followed the instructions here: http://www.ja-sig.org/wiki/display/CAS/Confluence+as+CAS+Client
The installation steps and configuration seem to be pretty clear. However, I've run into a problem when trying to log-in into Confluence. When I try to load the confluence home page, it appears that I am properly authenticated through our CAS server. I'm then redirected back to Confluence. However, Confluence prompts me for a username/ password even though I'm authenticated under CAS. It also won't allow me to log-in via any previously made Confluence account. When I look in the atlassian-confluence.log file I see this: 2006-10-16 12:34:46,182 ERROR [soulwing.confluence.cas.ConfluenceCasAuthenticator] getUser getUser () for CAS user MY_CAS_USERNAME returned null I then tried adding a Confluence user with the same username as my CAS username. This allows me to log-in through CAS, but there are a bunch of issues regarding the inability to log-out or for other local accounts to log-in. I'm not sure whether these are related. The directions make no mention of have to pre-populate the Confluence user database with CAS user names, so I'm suspecting that I've configured something incorrectly. I tried emailing Carl Harris (the Confluence CAS plug-in) last week but haven't heard back. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. I'm using the stand-alone Confluence Version: 2.2.9 Build:#527 Thanks, -jared _______________________________________________ Yale CAS mailing list [email protected] http://tp.its.yale.edu/mailman/listinfo/cas
