But what for are these CAS Client classes "ServiceTicketValidator" then ? How can i validate a Ticket in a Java WebStart Application that has received this ticket as an argument? I saw a lot of posts about that about 3 years old. Are there any news about that.

You need to do only one of them. If the filter is set up under Tomcat, then the ticket that your application receives has already been validated and is no longer useful. I don't think you can pass around the same ticket like you are planning to.
