Can you be prevailed upon to move the authoritative place for developing and
maintaining this codebase into a shared source environment, like SourceForge
or Google Code or JA-SIG CAS's very own SVN?

That step of moving to shared source control often does wonders for the
long-term viability of a client codebase.
