In our system we are operating in this environment:
3 different but similar servers:
OS: Sun Solaris 9.1
JVM version: 1.5 (Sun wrapped by IBM build, last patch release)
App.Server: Websphere Application Server 6.1 (last patch release)
CAS version: 3.05
JBossCache version: 1.4.1.SP3 (clustered)
Generally we had no problems for 10 accesses / second, the rate of failure was
under 1 % in the greatest part doe to ticket propagation latency time. In this
moment we are not experiencing particular problems with the jboss cache.
We had some serious problems with version 1.4.0.SP1 of the jboss cache as you
can see here:

Brian Donnelly <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ha scritto: Hi all,
We're getting ready at UC Davis to switch to a JBossCache Clustered
configuration for our CAS installation. I have been load testing two
Redhat EL 5 clustered nodes running CAS 3.0.6 using the default
JBossCache implementation, (UDP multicast.)
I've been using JMeter to generate ~7 login actions per second. Both
clustered servers perform fine for several hours. Somewhere in the
third hour of testing, I start seeing the following errors in the logs:
2007-07-18 13:43:54,813 ERROR
[org.jasig.cas.ticket.registry.JBossCacheTicketRegistry] -
retval=null, received=false, suspected=false>
and
2007-07-18 13:48:33,448 ERROR
[org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.[Catalina].[localhost].[/cas].[cas]] -
These start piling up until both servers stop responding to incoming
requests. A restart is required to restore service.
Has anyone else encountered errors of this type in their testing of the
JBossCache registry?
Thanks,
Brian Donnelly
