Dear CAS Community,

Its becoming apparent that the CAS community is getting larger and the CAS
project bigger. Because of that its no longer feasible that I handle the
majority of the webmastering and documentation coordination tasks (because
things unfortunately get pushed to the wayside as priorities change and
deadlines loom!). We're hoping that a couple people in the community can
step up and help us out. We're looking for two people to fill the volunteer
positions below. If you're interested, please send me an email with a brief
description of yourself and anything else you deem relevant. Thanks! Here
are the two positions:

Documentation Coordinator
The CAS team is currently looking for an individual to manage the
documentation for the various CAS products in the wiki. They will be
responsible for ensuring information is up-to-date, consistant and correct
and for adding and managing new content. The team envisions the coordinator
as also recruiting individuals to help them update and maintain particular
sections. Coordinator will prioritize update requests and make sure they
are finished in a timely fashion. Coordinator will work closely with
development team to ensure correctness across product releases.

Estimated Effort per Month: 7 - 10 hours

Site Web Master
The CAS team currently maintains a web site in HyperContent (content
management system) geared towards marketing information related to the CAS
product. This includes news, downloads, community information, deployers,
high level production information, and links to other various resources. The
site is located at http://www.ja-sig.org/products/cas/

The person in charge for the web site would be responsible for ensuring that
all content is up-to-date. They would also be responsible for working on
the transitition of any remaining documentation from the web site to the
wiki's user manuals. Site Web Master can choose to use which ever
content-management system they are comfortable with as long as there is not
a loss of features related to the site. Major design changes or shifts will
be discussed with development team.

Estimated Effort per Month: 2 - 7 hours

The first task of the Site Web Master will be to update the Team listing ;-)

Thanks!
-Scott
