I'm writing to encourage you to participate in the current Call for
Nominations for the open positions on the JA-SIG Board and the new uPortal
Project Steering Committee. The nominating period ends on Wednesday of next
week (see below for details).

Serving on one of these committees is a great way to have an immediate
impact on the strategic direction of our organization and to play an active
role in the continuing evolution of the community source movement in higher
education. Plus, you get an opportunity to work with some great
like-minded people whose ideals, creative thinking, and impressive efforts
are truly inspiring.

Have I piqued your interest yet? (Hope so :-). If you or someone you know
would be interested in joining us, please send an email to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] to let us know. Self-nominations are happily accepted.

Questions? Feel free to email me directly: jjmarkow at ja-sig.org.
Thanks, and we hope to hear from you soon.

Jonathan Markow
JA-SIG Board Chair
