I can sit there and watch the entropy hit zero.  This is on 2 older, but 
not that old, physical boxes (one's a P-4).  I did a quick search and 
found there may be an issue with the Ubuntu Kernel 
(http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=612511&highlight=entropy_avail) 
not generating randomness sufficiently fast.  At least now I know what 
to look for, and if needed I can switch to a different distro. if I can 
figure the issue out.
