-- Soulwing CAS Client version 0.5 Release Announcment 7 Jan 2007 Soulwing CAS Client version 0.5 has been released. The new release of the client brings several enhancements and bug fixes. Enhancements * Container-Managed CAS for Tomcat. Using components provided with the client, the popular Tomcat servlet container can be customized to provide CAS authentication support in the container itself, rather than requiring each application to include detailed CAS filter configuration. This allows web applications to use standard security mechanisms of the Servlet 2.4 specification, combining CAS authentication with the authorization support provided by Tomcat realms. See http://www.soulwing.org/tomcat-cas.jsp for details * Support for combined anonymous access and CAS-authenticated access when using the client with Atlassian Confluence. You can configure the client's filters in Confluence so that anonymous access is allowed until the user clicks the Log In link. Log In authentication is performed using CAS. See http://www.soulwing.org/confluence-cas-anonymous-access.jsp for details * Improved handling of CAS server responses that do not conform to the CAS protocol. * Documentation of additional features supported by the client at http://www.soulwing.org/faq.jsp Issues Fixed [SCC-10] - Does not support anonymous readable pages after implementing CAS client? [SCC-17] - CAS service parameter value should not be derived from HttpServletRequest.getRequestURL [SCC-19] - ContextProtocolConfiguration should avoid double slash in service URL [SCC-20] - ContextProtocolConfiguration should include extra path info in service URL [SCC-21] - Tomcat plugin cannot use contextPath in service URL [SCC-24] - Allowing Confluence {jiraissues} macro to authenticate as current user [SCC-25] - Seraph login state is reasserted during logout [SCC-27] - Bookmarked ticket parameter can cause unexpected validation failures
